America was built by Dreamers. At the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, it is part of our mission to promote prosperity and economic growth through the defense of the free enterprise system. A key component of the free enterprise system is the freedom of individuals to pursue their own path going as far as their talents and hard work will take them.
If Congress doesn’t act, starting on March 5, an average of 1,000 individuals a day will lose the ability to legally work and be subject to deportation. To withdraw the right of these individuals to study and work and to deport them to countries they do not know is contrary to fundamental American principles and the best interests of America.
Congress must find a solution or the American economy and our communities will feel the loss.
